She was a cocker spaniel and was meant to take the place of another cocker spaniel that had been lost. I named her Mitch's Lucky Star because of a patch of white fur on the top of her head that formed a star. She more than replaced the old dog and has been a part of my life for 12 years now, which means she has been my friend longer than any of the best friends that I have now.

She died today while I was at school. My parents buried her this afternoon and I couldn't come back to see her. It's weird to lose something that has been a part of your life for so long. Especially a dog because you want to think that you will see them again in Heaven, but according to popular belief and basically my belief, you won't. Well I guess all I can say is this is the last time I will have to remind Rich and Wendy that she's a she not a he. I'm going to miss her. It won't be the same around my house without her.

Farewell Star
Twelve years ago, a couple of weeks after Christmas I bought a new puppy.
